Coorg is a beautiful tourist
destination and there are innumerable places to
see in Coorg. It is placed in the backdrop of the
Western Ghats and tourists come here to visit the

Rajas loved to view the place form this point due
to its beauty and tranquility. Omkareshwara Temple
is more than 200 years old and is dedicated to Siva
and Vishnu It is built under the Islamic and Gothic
style.

water falls of iruppu and Abbey are prominent Coorg tourist
spots. They are the finest picnic spots which is both invigorating
and enchanting. Abbey Falls is only 8 km from Madikeri while
Iruppu Falls is about 91 km from there. The temple on the
Ramathirtha River near Iruppu Falls features importantly
among places to see in Coorg for the religious traveller.
It is considered very sacred and tourists throng the place
on Sivaratri to take a holy in the clear waters.
